For John Bryan State Park This is not a complete list of rules, only some of the most often asked about rules. Camping is only permitted in the campground, and a camping permit is required. A Family or individual campsite is defined as the area occupied by each camping unit (i.e. tent, trailer, or vehicle), all from the same household. A total of 6 people per camp site. An organized group site is defined as the area occupied by a scout, youth, church, or recognized organization. To use the Organized Group Camp, you must be an organized group and have made reservations ahead of time by calling the Regional Office (937) 322-5284. From November 01 - March 31, groups are to use the Family Area. PETS PERMITTED: pets must be registered with the campsite. Only 2 pets per campsite. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and may not be left unattended. The campground is open 24 hours a day, but the Day-Use area closes 1/2 hour after sunset each night. Do not enter Day-Use area after closing time. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Visiting hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. All unregistered persons must leave by 10:00 p.m. Gray Water (dish water, etc.) is to be collected in a sealed container and disposed of in the marked Waste water drains or in the dump station. Cutting of firewood is prohibited in State Parks. You may only collect dead wood in the mowed areas of the park. Do not cut, or pull down any wood. The Service Area is off limits.
Juvenile Campers!!! - Anyone under 18 years of age, not accompanied by a parent, guardian or part of an organized group, must provide a signed permission slip from their parents/guardian at registration time. It must contain the youth's name, address, name of the park, date of stay, and an emergency number where the parents are able to be reached. Your stay is limited to 14 days in a 30-day period. Registration is required of everyone using the campground facilities. (i.e.: campfire, use of shelter house, etc.) Self-Registration must be used when Camp Office is closed.
