Volunteers are essential to the daily operation of John Bryan State Park.  They provide hours of work building and improving trails, picking up litter, helping guests in the campground, to name a few activities.

On February 10, the Buck Creek Region honored camp hosts Ivan and Louise Moore with their 5 year service pins, as well as a team award for helping John Bryan to receive over 1,100 Customer Survey cards for the 2005 camping season.  Chief of Parks Dan West was in attendance at the time of the presentation.

Ivan, a WWII veteran, and Louise are dedicated to John Bryan State Park.  You can often find Ivan walking the campground early in the morning cleaning fire rings and picking up trash.  Ivan and Louise are always quick with a smile and make the campground guests at John Bryan feel welcome and like they are family.
